Name: Joshua
Chronological Age: 7 years
Gender: Male
Clinical Diagnosis: Normal
Josh is a normal active 7 year old boy. We decided
to start Josh on the TLP Level One Kit with a view
to improving his concentration and mood. His ability
to stay on task at school was affecting the amount
of work he would do in a lesson. He would complete
his work but this would be at a relatively slow
pace as he would be regularly distracted.
He completed a 10 week cycle, Condensed schedule,
in January 2005 and after a break is now on a
2nd cycle, missing out Full Spectrum CDs 1 &
2.
After a Parent / Teacher consultation in February
his teacher couldn't praise him enough. His concentration
in class has improved dramatically. He is able
to stay focused on a subject, understand and complete
work in a faster time. His teacher commented "He
is just soaking information up now". He is
much more organised and his thought processes
are much clearer.
As a result he gained a Headteachers award for
all his improvements.
At home he is noticeably calmer, more polite and
thoughtful and accepts decisions more readily!
He has certainly achieved a greater level of maturity
and is able to reflect on these improvements himself.
This has also led to greater self confidence.
He was already developing well and achieving
at school, however Level One has taken this to
another level.
