"I finished The Listening Program (TLP) in
the summer of 2001. After completing TLP I felt
more aware of noises and what people were saying
day to day whether in person, from the TV or the
radio - like listening to the news or getting
the weather report. I was able to listen and retain
the information and that was a big thing for me.
I have found that The Listening Program helped
improve my communication skills. I got involved
in a great relationship. Immediately after meeting
a new boyfriend I found we seem to be listening
more and talking at a deeper level. I enjoyed
listening to the CDs immensely and often went
outside to do some weeding while listening. I
would also sit quietly and meditate while listening.
I loved that part of my day because it gave me
at least a half-hour each morning to be present
and still and just focus on the music and the
sounds. I looked forward to The Listening Program
each morning and I loved the nature sounds mixed
in with the classical music. I was totally impressed
with the printed material (handbook) and how in-depth
it got, though still easy to understand and read.
It was informative literature and I liked reading
it. I thought it was very helpful to read the
chapter that pertained to the week I was listening
to before I listened to the CD. Overall, it was
a very interesting, relaxing, enjoyable experience
and I think it's helped me in many ways."
